The COVID19 pandemic has challenged us all to re-think how to do events: keynote speakers or panelists have been unable to travel to conferences due to travel restrictions or quarantine mandates. The number of guests or participants had to be drastically reduced in order to keep minimum distances – leaving large online audiences that your would like not only to reach but to engage interactively with your event. And the whole thing should not be a frustrating improvised videocall. We started ZEITECHT in 2015 in order to find and develop solutions for Hybrid Events, long before a fancy term was coined for these kinds of events. At your location, we only need acces to the internet via wired network and a power outlet. Everything else we will bring. Our vehicle fits into even low-ceiling garages and our equipment easily fits into normal sized passenger elevators.

The Hybrid Stage

Live-Streaming


One stream included in every package

Add-on option for additional streams / additional platforms: € 500 / day


Live-Stream including embedding on your website, branded according to your CI. Alternatively or additonally, streaming to your social-media channels (Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter…) or to a video conference, online event or webinar platform (zoom, teams, hopin,…). We use broadcast grade hardware encoders bonding several internet connections for a reliable and high quality stream. On location we need access to a wired internet connection, additional 4G or 5G mobile uplinks are provided by us.

Live call-in of speakers via video-link 


Keynote speakers, panelists or other contributors to your event who cannot be physically present are seamlessly brought into your event via video call-in using the video conferencing tools everybody is familiar with. On the stage they are visible on monitors for natural interaction with on-stage contributors, in the stream, they are seamlessly integrated, just like an additional camera source, split-screen settings break the boundaries between on-stage and video linked contributors.

Possible to use with all common video conferenging tools (Zoom, Teams, Skype, Webex, etc. )

Audience interaction / Q&A with online audience


included in all packages


Using interaction apps such as sli.do audiences online and on-location can engage and interact with your event using their smartphones. Most commonly used for Q&A sessions, polls or votes, further allowing anonymous questions. These interaction features can be seamlessly integrated in your embedded stream and works nicely on mobile devices too.

This works best if moderated and administered by a member of your team. We believe, sli.do is the best solution on the market right now and are happy to provide you with a sli.do professional account for your event. We are happy to integrate any other tool (i.E. Mentimeter) as well, but in this case, the account/license would have to be provided by you.

Integration of slides (PowerPoint / Keynote)

Slides (PowerPoint, Keynote) are grabbed live and directly from the laptop/computer used for presenting and integrated seamlessly as picture-in-picture or split-screen into the stream. This ensures perfect legibility of the slides while keeping the speaker visible. Slides can also run from one of our computers providing a remote clicker and comfort monitor to the speakers on stage. This also works with off-site contributors connecting via video-link with a similar online remote-clicker solution, so that the often troublesome screen-sharing can be avoided and animations, audio and video content will always look great and play smoothly as they should.

Audio tech (microphones, mixing, PA)


We have plenty of wireless headsets, clip-on, handheld or gooseneck microphones available to accommodate your preference or needs for the event. 

Microphones and mixing for 1-5 speakers is included in the package. Add-on for additional speakers:

Dedicated sound engineer on location:

 500 / day

For small Hybrid Events with only very few speakers, an on-location sound engineer might not be always necessary. For events with more then 5 microphones in action and PA/amplification for audience in the room, a sound engineer is essential though.

At your event location/venue you would like the live broadcast to be seen on a large screen or you have video content that should be seen by the audience online and on-location? Our video director will make sure that every screen will show what you like. For small events, we can provide two 49-inch screens, but please be aware that for larger mobile studio projects, we only provide the video signal to existing screens, LED walls or projectors at the venue (not the projectors and large screens themselves).

At the Hybrid-Stage two large 75-inch screens (4K) are available for the audience (IMAG). Additionally a projector + screen in the back serves as comfort monitor for presenters and additional 65″ and 49″ screens are availabe for on-stage integration of call-ins.

A wireless mobile camera, stabilized with a gimbal for smooth movements and operated by an experienced operator adds new angles, flexibility and dynamic motion shots to your broadcast. This is especially useful for dynamic events with lots of changing speakers (such as award shows), events with action that happens off-stage or artistic performances such as music or theatre.

4 cameras are always included, add-on price for additional cameras:

Up to 8 discreet, remote-controlled, robotic broadcast grade cameras (Sony BRC-series) ensure that your online-audience doesn’t miss a moment of your event. 

Integration of sign language interpretation


 450 / day

You have a sign language interpreter available for your event? A stationary remote-controlled robotic camera is assigned to the interpreter and the signal embedded to the stream in a split-screen setting.

For your interpreters we provide a comfort monitor and two wireless in-ear headphones, so they don’t miss any of the action. Please be aware that our service is only for the integration into the video composition, not the sign language interpretation service itself, usually provided by specialised third-party service providers.

Integration of Live-captions for barrier-free access


 200 / day

Externally provided live-captions can be integrated into the video composition. If sign language interpretation is available as well we usually do this in a split-screen setting as shown above. Please be aware that our service is only for the integration into the video composition, not the captioning service itself usually provided by specialised third-party service providers.

Teleprompter


500 / day

Price includes operator. Day rate can be reduce to € 200 if prompter control can be done by one of your team. 


Long parts of scripted text for your moderator or complex presentations can make a teleprompter to be a great help and allow the presenter to always keep eye-contact to the audience online. 

Graphics for the stream


400  package price

Our graphics designer will create individually designed stills graphics for the stream based on your CI. (opener/closer/lower-thirds/backgrounds)  Price includes one round of feedback/changes. 


Hybrid-Stage special: stills graphics based on a selection of templates are available free of charge.

Additional setup day


600  / day

Usually a minimum of 4 hours is needed to setting up the mobile studio. For late afternoon/evening events setting up the same day is perfectly possible. For full-day events setup on the day before will be necessary though. If you are not sure, just reach out, we are happy to make special arrangements if possible.

Complete recorded footage on a drive


300 / day

Price includes drive


You need the complete recorded footage from your event, including from each individual camera for potential re-editing or additional use? We are happy to provide the footage in a broadcast format on a drive. This includes the full rights to use the footage anywhere and anytime. A download-link of the live-edit recording in high quality is always included at no extra charge.

ZEITECHT is a concept for breaking down the boundaries between online and on-location events, relying on more than 20 years of experience and development. We, the founders of zeitecht KG – Daniel Binder (Director) and Johannes Öhe (Technical Director) – have more than 15 years of joint experience with video on the Internet. Already in 2005, a long time before YouTube or Facebook existed in Austria, we assisted on the live streaming of events, at the time as part of the TV project (UTV.Wien) of the University of Vienna. Following this pioneer phase, we have gained a lot of experience and developed solutions to unify online and on-location audiences to successful hybrid events. With the founding of zeitecht KG in Vienna, we have transformed this extensive experience into specific solutions. We are now happy to be able to offer these advanced solutions for your event.

Mobility, Flexibility, Efficiency, and Uncompromising Broadcast Quality

Our setup is extremely compact and contains many own developments which permit us to work with the smallest team possible and remain discreet during your event. All our stationary cameras can be remotely controlled from the director’s desk. We don’t require any bulky platforms where camera operators could end up getting in the way of your audience. Our preconfigured modules minimise the space we need on location, and also reduce the time for setup and dismantling. Throughout all that, we maintain uncompromising broadcast standards for image and sound quality.

We instantly integrate the latest technical developments to improve our efficiency. In fact, we are the first in Austria when it comes to some of these camera systems. Project Schedule

What is the course of a typical project? What do we need from you? A short guide:

1. Request a quote

Either email us or call us to request a quote. Ideally, this should happen at least a month before your scheduled event. Depending on our availability, however, we can also work on short notice.

2. Consultation

Ideally, we will schedule a meeting with you, at which you can describe your event as well as your needs and goals in detail, and at which we can support you in choosing the most fitting services. Alternatively, this stage can also happen over the phone or video conference.

3. Offer

We will then provide you with an offer. If you accept our offer, we will invoice you for 25% of the price for the entire project as an advance payment. Following this stage, you have securely booked our services.

4. Location inspection (approx. 2 weeks before the event)

Before the event, we will schedule an inspection of your event’s venue. Ideally, this should be accompanied by the on- site technician and by representatives of the sound, light and interpretation providers for the event.

5. Setup (on the day of the event or one day in advance)

Depending on the size of the event and its starting time, we should have access to the venue at least a few hours in advance in order to set up. In the case of all-day events, we need to be able to set up on the day before the event. For evening events, beginning to set up early on that very same day should be sufficient.

6. On the day of your event

In close cooperation with your event, social media and/or outreach team, we will produce your Hybrid Event, deliver the live-stream and handle all technical parts of the production. We will also hand over the entire recording to you at the end of the event. The dismantling will follow immediately after the event.
